About us

Why drill?

Many areas of the world lack the basic necessity of clean drinking water. Much of Eastern Africa is one such area.

This woman in Kenya walks up to 10 miles to find water when it is scarce.
In February 2006, at the invitation of Bishop Henry Mulandi, Ron Weaver and his family visited one such area in Northern Kenya. This is the home of the Turkana people, a nomadic tribe in a semi desert region with little water resources. It is here where the Weaver's met a Turkana woman, who had walked eight hours that day with no food or water to draw water for her family. She made this trip three times a week and carried approximately seven gallons ( 52 lbs) of water on her head for a distance of 10 miles.

It was here where Ron and his wife Erma felt a call to make a difference. Ron is a retired 30 year veteran water well driller with a passion to give back a portion of his experience and knowledge to bless the less fortunate.
